Someone gotta say it! — “WTF is happening around me?”, the world feels like it’s glitching out.
One minute you’re reading about missiles, and the next you’re in a Twitter beef thread between Elon and Trump.
The headlines keep screaming, your phone won’t shut up, and every app thinks you need “just one more scroll.”
So what do you do when you’re not trying to meditate in the Himalayas but also don’t want to lose your mind in this digital chaos?
Here’s how I stay sane real-life, grounded, don’t-punch-a-wall sane.
☀️ 1. Get Sun Until You Sweat
There’s something about sunlight cooking your skin that resets your brain. I don’t know the science, I just know I feel human again after standing in the sun till I break a sweat.
You’re not supposed to live under fluorescent lighting 24/7. Go outside. Even if it’s just to squint at the sky like a confused lizard.(no offence)
🌬️ 2. Breathe Like You’re Getting Paid For It
You ever take a big, deep breath and go, “Damn, was I not doing that all day?”
Yeah, me too.
Try this:
Inhale for 4 seconds
Hold for 4
Exhale for 4
Hold for 4
Repeat until your body stops vibrating like a stressed-out phone.
It's the cheapest high on earth. Free. Legal. Restores sanity.
🌿 3. Mindful Smokes & Slow Moments
Evenings? That’s reset time. I light a herbal smoke, sit somewhere with trees, and just exist. No agenda. Sometimes a friend joins. Sometimes it’s just me and passing strangers becoming blur art.
You’d be surprised how peaceful you feel just watching the world do its thing without needing to be part of it every second.
📵 4. Turn Off the Noise
News off. Notifications off. Anyone who tells you “but I need to stay updated” is probably sleep-deprived and full of anxiety.
You’re not a newsroom.
You’re a human being.
Give yourself the silence to actually hear yourself think again.
📞 5. Call That One Friend
Long-distance or local — we all have that one person who makes everything lighter.
Maybe you laugh about dumb stuff. Maybe you talk deep for hours. Either way, real conversation > comment section chaos.
Talk to people who give peace. Not panic.
📖 6. Read. Trust Me.
Reading has done more for my peace.(whenever I try to read I sleep like a baby)
No flashing lights. No notifications. Just your brain and words and stillness.
It’s like putting noise-cancelling headphones on your soul.
✍️ 7. Write. Even If It’s Bad.
I started writing recently. Not for anyone. Just to dump whatever my brain’s carrying. Sometimes it makes sense. Sometimes it’s just “AHHHH” typed 30 times.
Both are valid. And both help more than you expect.
🥋 8. Sweat Something Out.
Martial arts. Gym. Running. Hell, even dancing around your room.
If it makes you sweat — it makes you sane.
🚫 9. Cut Off People Who Drain You
This one’s real talk.
You’re allowed to protect your peace. If someone’s energy is constantly making you feel irritated, judged, or heavy — step back.
No explanation needed. Mental health > approval.
Call it selfish. I call it survival.
